Wake Up Call

Time and time again, when something really good happens to me, I pinch myself to know if every blessing I've been receiving is happening for real. Everyone who knows me well already figured out how my imagination goes on, and on, and on. And how pessimistic I am, when I expect for the worst for me to feel better when good things happen instead. It's a bad habit of mine that I apparently need to correct. ASAP

I've been thinking a lot lately and realized a lot of things which explains how melodramatic I get with my posts. (Sorry in advance.) Today will be just a start that there will be no backing down, no more looking back, no more to negativity. This morning upon stumbling on The Good Quote (@thegoodquote) on instagram, I've read a lot of things concerning this. That we should always focus on the good one's and let go of the negative. Things we should remember when we're in the rough.

Besides from reading such quotations, we should also consider dressing comfortably without sacrificing style of course in order for us to spread positivity just like this ootd of mine on Christmas day reunion with fam. I never get tired of this, another dramatic entrance for this outfit post.

Now about this ensemble, I know that origami skorts have been a trend last year and so or overlapping skirts just like this one from Ripples by Jenny. I paired it with this fresh looking lace top in teal from Black Sheep.

I swore I just finished using a curling iron to make my hair look put together and I dismally fail doing so. Haha! An hour with that hot rod was no worth it. Good thing it was windy then, everyone did not noticed how messy my hair was.

That is all for this post. I hope you guys like it.

Changes.

As the 22nd of the new year approaches, it marks the start of my month long countdown for my birthday. Since 22nd of January is my sisy's, it will forever be a reminder of my aging mark. But I am not writing this because I am going to host another giveaway, nor am I going to be overly dramatic of my aging process (Okay. Just a little.) but to share how much my world changed in just a year.

When I was younger (before I turned 23) I wanted to grow up so fast because I wanted to be  a "someone" . But now that I'm in the process of getting there, I was taken aback on how much I still need to work hard for, on how much I still need to prove myself, on how much cups of rice I need to take, on how much walls I need to break. (Wow! That rhymes. Felt pretty cool about myself. Hihi) The thing is, we have to make big changes with our lives in order for us to reach our goals. Make wrong decisions and learn from them, try new things and actually like them, and most importantly embracing the change, going with the flow, doing the things we want or need to do or both.

Like in fashion, change is constant. And the fashion world embraces whatever the new trend is wholeheartedly. And here I am trying to shift my dramatic post into an outfit post. Ha!

Don't worry I haven't gone mad on trading cutesy laces, frills and pastels with sweatshirt and pants. I've just wore something for me is hip-hop for our office party last month. Genre of music was the theme of the kringle, and I got hip-hop. So I decided to wear something related to the theme but adding personal touches. And yes, Hello Kitty was my personal touch for this one.

I was soo tempted to buy a new pair of wedge sneaks but everyone told me it will be such a waste because I will only be using it once. It was partly true since I haven't got that much things to match such pair. So, I opted for my kitty sneaks instead.

I also added a cap for the sake of a color popping out. And also to add the hip-hop vibe. I love how the kitty print also goes so well with the whole look.

Also, I did goofed around and tried posing all sorts of hip-hop(ish) pose and failed dismally. Oh well. Going back to posting outfit photos with normal clothes. A lot more backlogs to come.

Just don't forget the whole point of this post. To greet changes with a warm hug and go with the flow but still take control to which destination you're going to.

That is all for this post. I hope you guys like it.

Brand New Year

Another new year is ahead of us and we all wish for the same exact things, we make a list of the same exact resolutions and we all realize that we'll end up wishing and making a list of it for the next year. It may sound all negative but it's not. It just goes to show how we constantly want to live the same life, like not caring about a list and just enjoy it, make mistakes and learn from it, come up with decisions you've never imagined to happen and to spread love to everyone in the best possible way you can.

And as I share these thoughts of mine, I also wanted to share what I wore for the NYE. We all have this belief to wear polkadots to attract good luck. Since, the circle shape connotes the shape of the coin, which means money. And as silly as it may sound it's a thing we do on yearly basis. And here I am, wearing this denim dress I haven't worn for years. Good thing, it still fits.It is also a belief that wearing something red or green brings good luck. And so I added my slim metal belt from SM Kids' Accessories. To break a tradition though, I felt like jumping as high as I can on 12m.n. is no help for me to gain a few inches and so I opted to wear a classic black pumps.

Year 2014 is just another chapter we've just finished writing, and the brand new year is a start of another to write, adventures to make, new things to try, change to take and cupcake to bake, well, just for me. Looking back to it puts a big smile on my face, realizing how blessed I am with a sudden change, that I wholeheartedly accepted. Gaining someone so important, that only my heart could tell why. One of the best blessings I've received last year. And I am very much thankful for that and excited for what is allotted to us in the coming years.

Happy New Year every one!

Rounded up all my outfit posts for this year. Realizing I've not just gain a person I love, I've also gained weight.
