Emily Fields

Do I have to cue in the PLL theme song again? No? Okay then. I am back for another ootd post the Pretty Little Liars Edition. My previous post was about my fave liar, Spencer. This time I found an ootd of mine that best describes Emily Fields.

Among the liars, Emily is prolly the least I have common things with. I am anything but sporty. You can count me in as a supporter, cheering on the side lines but never on the spotlight inside the court. To those who haven't watched a single episode of PLL, Emily Fields is the athlete among the liars, She's part of the swimming varsity team. One thing we have in common though, is we both have this tough thing going on the outside but soft as jello on the inside. Plus, this outfit of mine that I find the closest thing I could to being sporty.

Top: SM Woman, Dress: Local department store, Shoes: Primadonna

This pictures have been sitting on my ootd folder for awhile now. And I'm quite excited now that I've finally posted it. Have you noticed how beautifully the pictures have come out? Because these were taken by my sisy Ara. I swear, any kind of art she excels in it. Add photography in her already long list.

This was actually one of our family days, Ara went home for three days from her internship at Dumaguete City. Then she was off to Baguio on the fourth day for her next assignment, I kinda miss her already actually. This was taken on the last week of July. She haven't been home since then. I can't wait to see her back for the Christmas vacation though.

I have more to post in the coming weeks and next time around I'll be transforming into each of the Pretty Little Liars. Next post is going to be about Hanna Marin, watch out for that co-PLL fans.

That is all for this post. I hope you guys like it. Don't forget to hype my look here.

Spencer Hastings

Que in music: "Got a secret, Can you keep it? Swear this one you'll save. Better lock it in your pocket, taking this one to the grave. If I show you then I know you won't tell what I said. 'Cause two can keep a secret if one of them is dead. "

I've been a fan of the show from Seasons 1-3 when I was in college. After college, I just rested for a month and now went for training for work. And it all just happened so fast I could no longer catch up with the episodes and following seasons, now I'm turning 3 years as a bank teller. Back to the whole PLL thing. Among the all the liars, Spencer has to be my fave. Besides the fact that she's the one who always solves practically everything, oh how I love her fashion sense. I've always been a fan of preppy looks because it looks so good with my glasses. Kidding! My style actually started with the usual girly-girl and preppy looks that made me totes Spencer bias.

And when it comes to preppy looks, you could never go wrong with a button-down striped top and a pair of oxfords. But since I still wanted it to be my own, not copy the whole inspi, I incorporated silverdust and bird prints.

Channeling the inner Spencer Hastings in me. I have always been a competitive one when it comes to school, except I compete not with my classmates but with myself. I push myself to the limits by nature. It never reflected with my grades though like Spencer's.

Now, about my look. Since I was going for a preppy look with my touch, I decided to go with something color coordinated, with added dainty feel. Look how I've matched my glitter oxfords with this silver sling bag from Nine West. It's actually a hand me down bag from my Auntie Lina. That's one of the things I'm thankful for, my Mom, Aunties and their hand me down clothes, shoes and bags.

Also, I've put to use my SM Kid's Accessories good finds, like this silver bow belt and pearl clip. It felt like I was going back to my first day of school all over again. I've also curled my hair for added dainty effect. *wink, wink

Oh how I missed making a blogpost. I have more to post in the coming weeks and next time around I'll be transforming into each of the Pretty Little Liars. Next post is going to be about Emily Fields, watch out for that co-PLL fans.

A Change of Heart

To travel and to see the world, has always been my life long dream. May it be locally or internationally, getting to visit new places and discovering different culture and heritage always give this incredible feeling of happiness, although I haven't been to that many adventures just yet.

The last time I've had a mini adventure was two months ago when I was able to visit my relatives in Singapore. A mini vacation away from home was what I've been planning for months. At first, I was not that sure that I will be able to fly out of the country this year, thanks to my brother who's based in Singapore, he helped me out during my few days stay there. He planned everything for my visit. A day dedicated for Universal Studios Singapore and the rest of Sentosa. And another one for more touristy stuff like a walk at the Merlion Park and a little time for shopping and trying the foods you could only try in the metro. I have the last day all for myself by bonding with my Aunt, Uncle and cousin Eli, before my late afternoon flight back to Manila.

And this post is dedicated to my USS visit. I'm no big fan of amusement parks, long waited lines that I can never be patient of (except when paying for my bills and Christmas shopping *wink*), terrifying and heart-stopping rides. But this experience totes gave me a change of heart.

We weren't able to try all the rides since it was packed when we visited. We tried just three (3); Madagascar: A Crate Adventure, Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase, and Transformers The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle. We've also watched the Monster Rock Musical, some street shows featuring the Madagascar characters, Rockafellas, The Cruisers, Mel's Dinettes and a lot more. We even had lunch in the ever so famous Mel's Drive-In. I've even had pictures taken with some fave movie characters.

Enough with the storytelling, let me share to you guys the pictures from my mini adventure. Scroll away!

And my mini adventure started on a beautiful Thursday morning, perfect weather and all.
Was in awe with the squirrels hopping from tree to tree.

Finally arriving at the Sentosa Boardwalk, and it made me realize that I was up for a long walk.

The first thing that caught my eye upon the entering the park.

Considering my brother already booked for the theme park on a weekday, it was pretty crowded I must say.

I've always loved The Sesame Street and I can't leave the place without a picture.
This was actually a new addition to the park. The ride was pretty much for kiddos though.

I heard this was a pretty cool ride,
too bad the line was too long and was freaking hot.

Oh how I wished I was able to take a picture with Donkey or Puss.

At the front view of the Far, Far Away palace.

One touristy pose in the middle of the park (check!)

We had our lunch at Mel's Drive-In, late lunch actually.
We had so much fun sight-seeing we forgot about the time. It was already 2pm at this time.

Besides the Universal Studios, we also went to the white sandy beaches; Siloso, Palawan and Tanjong. This was the time when my feet were about to give up.

We were burnt out at this time, so went back straight to the train station. We stopped by at the mall and felt alive again.

I wouldn't survive this full day of adventure if I wasn't wearing breathable and comfortable clothes. This high-waist pants, flowy top and comfy sandals are life-savers. I actually have fashion tips for singapore travel which will be up for my next post.

I grabbed the opportunity for this old New York City background while everyone was busy watching the street show. It felt and looked real for me.

Color your Mood

I think we all have to have the bad days in order to love the good days even more.

The quote I've remembered (roughly) from the movie trailer of Alexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day. Have you ever experience waking up one morning feeling that everything seems wrong? Well, I have, just this morning (I drafted this two Thursdays ago). Waking up in the morning with a bad mood instantly makes some days a wreck, but not for me. Being reminded with the abovementioned quote that very morning, I knew that I would have to make a turn around for me to perform at my best. It served as a refresher for me to appreciate even the littlest of things and choosing what your day would be, like coloring your own mood.

I do a lot of things for me to turn my frown into a smile. If you guys love the things like I do, you can browse online shops. There's never a dull moment with online shopping especially when you get that first dibs on the hottest trends and the hassle-free transaction that comes with it. I happen to came across Zalora and they have a big range of clutch purses. You might want to check them out here.

Another thing that I enjoy is to read a book, you can visit your school or even the public library for the newest good read. They surely have the new set of books you've been saving up for the school year. You could also find good reads that may not be available online. Yes,  there are still things not found online. *wink*

If you enjoy sharing your thoughts and can't contain yourself on telling the story behind your ootd, you could blog like me or you can simply post a picture on ig and put deets as a caption.

Simple things like this could lead your bad mood into a good one. It can even lead to a new blog post just like mine. And there's no way to end this post without sharing to you guys one of my ootds. Drum roll please, behold another dramatic post leading to sharing my ootd. *insert slow clapping self here*

Top and Vest: Tiangge, Shoes: Primadonna

Oh how I love great transition posts just like this. And it's prolly my fave, to date. Anyway, we had a free day before the festivities in Naga City happened and so we grabbed the opportunity to visit our grandparents and swung by the mall, too.

I wore something chill and finally braved wearing boyfriend jeans. I'm now a fan and love pairing them with layered crop tops. For this particular outfit though, I've went with something laidback and chic streetstyle, sort of. I've chose white and denim as the theme for the whole look. I've also added sparkly stuff here and there with a statement necklace and my glitter oxfords. And yes, I've posed with the ever so famous SM Youth Bus. They've joined in the celebration of the Penafrancia Fiesta and stayed for a week in the city.

Don't you just love the colorful vibe of the bus gave emphasis on how clean and minimalist I have gone with my look? Just like how each and every one of us can color someone else's mood. After getting your mood colored, look around and help color someone else's. Let them be reminded that we're not having bad days, we just have days that we think of the negative things  more instead of the positive one's. Go ahead and be someone else's ray of sunshine or rainbow after a rain (just like a song. Haha!)

That is all for this post. I hope you guys like it. Don't forget to hype my look here.

Jacket On

As the rain pours that literally washes away our worries from the heat of the sun, it also gives this cozy vibe to stay at home, enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee while catching up with your fave tv series you’ve missed while at school or work, or start to read a new book everyone’s been raving about or even have a movie marathon of the Harry Potter Series. Oh gloomy days like this, it makes me want to regret that I was only able to enjoy summer for less than a week. Sigh.

But despite of this, I still feel very blessed that I get to visit places and will get to visit places I want to go to. A few months ago, we've went back to the beautiful city of Baguio to visit my one week old niece. Yes. I now have a niece, a really pretty one.

I told you guys we'd be going back and forth to Baguio. Anyway, we just went for a short visit and the rain was pouring the whole time, so we weren't able to enjoy the outdoors. But we still had so much fun.

For my outfit on our free day, I know I've said that I swore not to wear a skirt to this city but I expected that it would be sunny but it wasn't and it's the only thing I've brought since we were travelling light. I didn't regret it though. It kept me warm throughout our indoor stay.

I wore denim on denim. It wasn't that of a risk though since it was a completely different shade that the skirt is a printed denim. Underneath my jacket is the long sleeve peek-a-boo top from Ripples by Jenny. Then, I wore my summer sandals from Forever 21, who knew it would still look appropriate with the look. I gave my fave and overused nude sandals a break hence, I've used these pair instead. It is definitely one of the comfiest pairs I have.

This is now the part where I dump you guys with photos during our stay there. To what bloggers call it, behold another photo diary, Baguio short visit edition. Scroll away!

Me with annoyed niece. Hahaha

Look how adorable she looks.

Another picture with my niece, this time, she doesn't look that annoyed. Haha

Afternoon Tea

Crazy as it may sound but I enjoy a hot tea even during the hottest afternoon of summer. That's why I was thrilled that there's finally a place to enjoy an afternoon tea, at the Avenue Plaza Hotel. Offered from 2 o'clock in the afternoon to six, tea lovers like me would enjoy an afternoon hanging out with friends, or loved ones sharing three tiers array of pastries. There are three choices offered; Classic, Exquisite and Avenue Signature. We chose Classic since Tazz, Kae, Darel and I both just had our lunch. The classic includes smoked salmon sandwich, clubhouse sandwich, banana chocochip cookie, avenue ensaymada, walnut muffins, blueberry & marble cheesecake, white panna cotta vanilla, chocolate cake and tiramisu. For our tea, we had the Four Red Fruits, now my current favorite.

Top: Koreana Shop, Skirt: Thrifted & Shoes: CLN

Since this was my second visit, I opted for something simple like this sequined top paired with my lilac maxi skirt. You guys know my love for pastel and all things sparkly like sequins. This ensemble goes to show that I love both equally that I even paired them with each other. Anyway, I paired this with my yellow sandals from CLN, yellow slim belt from Tomato and this vintage native sling bag I got from my Aunt. My date for that afternoon was my LMFs and Darel.

Our experience was such a blast just sharing stories while enjoying a nice cup of tea and having bites of absolutely delish pastries. Our tummies were full at the end of the afternoon. I recommend this to group of friends and couples who enjoy tea.

And when you hair just can't handle the wind blowing, high hair bun to the rescue.

I always enjoy an afternoon with this bunch. Also, thanks to our official photographer, Darel, who doesn't mind being with us in the picture.

That is all for this post. I hope you guys like it. Don't forget to hype my look here.

Spa Day

Top and shorts: Local bazaar, Bag: Mango, and Shoes: CLN

May it be school or work, we all need a breather in order for us to perform our best. Besides from my monthly mani and pedi bonding session with mom, I make sure to also give time for some spa day. Either just a relaxing foot spa or an overwhelming whole body massage, it gives me time to relax and clear my head from my daily grind.

One of the latest trends nowadays are going to spa places. Almost every city has it already and is usually packed on weekends. I was introduced to going to spas ever since I shared to my colleagues how I have this awful back pains. One of the spas I've visited that I very much liked the service is My Spa located at the corner of Penafrancia and MT Villanueva Avenues, where you can also enjoy sauna bathing. And for first timers it is a must that we should be mindful on what we wear. Something we could easily get out and in to. One of the things that comes to my mind are rompers but I opted for something spa-ish vibe.

I usually go with button-down shirts and a pair of shorts but I feel a bit playful and wore a tube-top, a pair of shorts and layered it with a sheer kimono, something that became a trend during summer.

Why did I mentioned that you have to wear something you can easily change into? Well, when you go to spas of course we need to change into robes, to get ready before the massage. In My Spa though you have an option to use their shower room, where the sauna is, before the masseuse starts with the massaging.

And now that I just got home from work, finishing this post, I kinda want to get a massage soon.

For my outfit, the color I focused on is the hint of mustard yellow in my kimono, hence the color of the scalloped shorts. I just added white lace tube top to balance out the color. I also grabbed my overused CLN sandals and Mango sling bag.

That is all for this post. I hope you guys like it. Don't forget to hype my look here.

Summer Ender

Cover Up: Thrifted, Top: Koreana Shop, Shorts: Diversify by Pam, Bag: Mango and Shoes: Forever21

This post marks the last of my sunny adventures last summer hence the title, Summer Ender. I was a bit burnt out from the Calaguas trip the weekend before this outing but being someone who doesn’t want to miss out sharing moments with my colleagues outside the office, I still gave it a go. We went to the ever so famous Pasacao, the only beach stop I knew when I was little. We spent a night there and went on a boat ride in the morning to the Daruanak Island.

I have this thing when I always don’t get the memo on what my friends identically wear. So for the next summer I got myself a cover up that I forgot to bring for the Calaguas trip. So when I found out that we will have an office outing, I made sure to make use of it. I also have this floral corset swimwear top that matches this floral shorts of mine so I paired them with each other, added this neon pink cover up and I was good to go. I was also able to use my new addition to my love for flats and sandals that I got from Forever 21.

That is all for this post. I hope you guys like it. Don't forget to hype my look here.
