Pre Birthday Part 2

This isn't a continuation of my first pre birthday. It just so happened that I celebrated my birthday early, twice. The first one was with my favorites; Tazz, Kae, Mark and Darel, this time I celebrated with my work buddies. I must say, I feel very happy and loved (except when we bully each other.) every time I'm with this bunch that I spend five days of my week with.

Cupcake goodies from Pasteleria de Perez. Thanks again Ma'am Matet!

Celebrations wouldn't be complete without cakes, or cupcakes in my case. I must say I've just had one of the best tasting cupcakes ever. If you're a big fan of cupcakes like me, you have prolly already heard of the Pasteleria de Perez, one of the newest cupcake stops in the metro.

I'm no expert but as a big fan of food I can say that they have the yummiest red velvet and cheese cupcakes. These two are my fave but they have so much more to offer. Our most recent discovery is the Tutty Fruity cupcakes. Vanilla cupcakes topped with real fruits. They tastes good as they look.

For more info, check out their facebook page here.

My birthday cupcakes made by my boss. Now you guys know what I've meant when I said feeling loved.

Before I insert my ootd on this day, I'd like to share first the pictures with my PTC fam. They are the reason why I love going to work every single day. Because it doesn't feel like work at all, it feels like we're a family helping each other for a certain goal.

With the gang. Love them to bits!

Ariane, Julie, Krys, Ate France and Ma'am Jo

Thanks for this Lloydie!

Blowing out the candles

And now, for the sole purpose of this post. What I wore on this special day of mine. Can you feel the preppy vibe of the outfit? If you haven't then there must be something wrong when I decided to wear this ensemble because that was my peg on that day. Hahha.

Dress used as top: Forever 21, Skirt: Tiangge,
Shoes: Primadonna, Necklace and Belt: The SM Store

This top of mine is actually a dress. I just added this midi skirt to add color. I bought this dress months ago like almost a year already and was just able to use it on this day. I'm having some trouble with my closet because I still have clothes with tags on and glad I was able to minus one from that trouble.

Since I was going to work that day, I've went for the preppy vibe for me to still look presentable. Though I must say that the studs gave me away, I just simply added minimal accessories. Grabbed this cutesy floral lacey necklace in black and gold and used my overused cream belt. Both are from SM Kid's accessories.

Oh how I love that the necklace falls perfectly with the collar which makes it stand out more than the studs. Also, I just folded the sleeves of the dressed used as a top to look more polished and not manang-ish. And of course, the look wouldn't be complete without my nude cage flats. Totes my fave item!

This is one of my major backlogs which explains why I still have a long hair in here. Also, this was the same day of my lil brother's prom. So, me and my sister dropped by to take pictures at school, too.

That is all for this post. I hope you guys like it. Don't forget to hype my look here.

Pre Birthday

So it's another Saturday afternoon. It wasn't the typical weekend for me where I just stayed at home and watched movies or read a book or make a blog post all day. Some of my closest friends who are based in Manila went home for the weekend and we had coffee and snacks at this dainty place called White Bean.

And I'm back after weeks of being silent. For my birthday last month, I've had two pre-birthday celebrations and this was my first one. I got reunited with my besties (LMF) Tazz and Kae and also two of my fave guy friends, Mark and Darel. I missed having both of them for weekends and when Kae and Mark went home, I grabbed the opportunity to catch up and share yummy foodies from this coffee shop.

I am always in awe whenever I enter this place. That's why I wore something different from my usual style. This is actually my first time to wear something this long on an ordinary day.

Top & Skirt: Thrifted, Vest: Tiangge, Bag: Dooney and Bourke, Shoes: CLN

I always stick to pastels even when I was little in dressing up. It gives this "lakas maka-fresh" feeling , not only to me, but I think also to those who love pastels. I've bought this cutesy skirt from a thrift shop. I have paired it with my lace tube top and covered everything up with this denim-lace vest of my sisy. Also, went for minimal accessories to draw attention to the outfit only, not the bling-blings. I just grabbed my macaroon necklace from Just G., cream belt from The SM Store, and my Skechers watch. I also get to use my DB bucket sling and CLN nude sandals.

I feel oh so pretty the whole time I was wearing this ensemble. Picture moments like crossing the street and people around you turns your way, giving you approving remarks (sort of) maybe well, for my look.

After the merienda we had, we all headed to SM for a few errands. Then, they've surprised me with balloons and a cake that I get to blow out the candles. (Yes. Soo lucky to have friends like them.)

That is all for this post. I hope you guys like it. Don't forget to hype my look here.

All White

Summer season is just around the corner. Through the sunny weather and scorching sun already present every single day, it already feels like one. I can now feel the warmth  (or the UV rays rather) of the sun touch my skin every morning since I rarely go out during office hours. I must say it is my favorite season of the year. I am no big fan of pouring rains except when there's a rainbow after. Nonetheless, I still prefer the scorching sun.

One of the reasons why I love summer is getting to have an excuse for dipping in the pool, out of town trips with family and friends or just simply hanging out in a fully air-conditioned mall every weekend. Yes. It sucks that I could only do these things on the weekends. I regret not enjoying summer when I was still a student when I still have all the time in the world.

Another reason is getting to dress up in florals, the cutest pastel palettes, bright colors and even an all white ensemble. Yes. An all white ensemble is going to be a trend this summer season. And even before summer started, I got excited and wore one.

I cannot erase the fact that even with my age ( I'm already 23) I still prefer buying stuff from the teen section, especially, at The SM Store's GTW (Girl's Teens Wear). I just find the designs of the brands under GTW really nice. They think of everything a girl or even a full grown woman would want to wear. Even the craziest or subtle trends, they find ways to make it wearable.

Top and Skirt: SM GTW's Betty, Shoes: Primadonna

This all- white ensemble of mine has two factors that makes it interesting and not just plain boring white, and that is neon and print. I just love how even the tiniest details made the whole look different. A good example is this neon embroidered design for the top. Look how it turned the classic button-down sleeveless top into something updated. Another one is the cutesy bird prints on my pleated skirt. It reminded me of a nice warm weather, a picnic in the park and even the mocking jay from Hunger Games. Funny how I'm reminded of all these things with just bird prints.

If I've worn it for a day event, I would have paired it with white wedges or nude pumps but since I went to an evening event and I needed to walk a lot, I chose to pair it with my glitter oxfords from Primadonna. I know that the last time I've blogged about this pair was me, complaining on how my feet went numb. This time around my pain tolerance improved. Ha! Things we do for love of dressing up. But it wasn't as bad as the last time, prolly because I just sat the whole afternoon.

I actually wore this to watch my lil brother's pageant. He didn't won but I'm still a very proud sister. It was a good experience for him.

That is all for this post. I hope you guys like it. Don't forget to hype my look here.

P.S. Photos were taken with my phone. Forgive me for the low quality pics, this is one of my backlogs.
