Baguio Trip

It has been years since I last went to Baguio. It was in my fourth year in high school when I attended DepEd's very famous NLTSGO (National Leadership Training for Student Government Officers) held at Teachers Camp. And now that I was given a chance to go back after almost six years, I tried things I've always wanted to do that I wasn't able to during my last visit. Although we just have to squeeze it in to our schedules since our sole purpose of going to Baguio is for my brother's wedding.

We first visited the very famous Mines View Park. Despite the fact that the place has now turned into a tourist commercial area because of the stores located in every angle, I still loved visiting it. Also, was now able to ride a real horse, and wait for it, with pink hair. It was soo fun to do touristy stuff despite the busy day full of errands we had.

On our first day, we just had lunch at the mall and finally met the wonderful Toledo Family, one of the nicest families I've met to date and now our extended fam. And definitely the main reason why we would definitely come back every now and then, to visit and catch up with new members of the family.

On the second day, we've done a few errands here and there, attended the wedding rehearsal and all, and of course a little sight seeing around the city. In the morning we was able to go to the Mines View Park and in the afternoon we went to Camp John Hay.

For you guys to enjoy this post, I will be dumping you with pictures we were able to take. Although all of these are only group pictures, I hope seeing us having fun in the pictures would be enough. Scroll away!

When we were done doing a few errands, we decided to swing by the Mines View Park before grabbing some lunch. I wanted to ride a pony but when I saw this horse with a dyed pink hair, I was like "Oooh, Pink!" and immediately rode the horse for picture taking purposes only though. Actually, every corner has this pink dyed hair horses all for photo ops purposes.

This is one of my fave pictures of all time. Look at my nephew's adorable smile. He looks so cute with the costume on.

My lil brother also get to wear a costume since RG wasn't that thrilled to wear one.

An obligatory picture with one of Doglas' friends. Haha. The line for Doglas was crazy, so we opted for the other dog who were also prepped up for photo ops.

A trip to the Mines View Park wouldn't be complete without having their buttered corn on a cob. You can get them steamed or grilled. My nephew tried one, and I was able to snap away in action. Soo cute!

I love how this touristy picture was taken. Even though I look like a mess, since it was now late in the afternoon and we just got done shopping for pasalubongs. The view of the pine trees were breathtaking. It felt like I was not in the Philippines.

And of course, this post wouldn't be complete without an outfit shot.

I wore this sheer floral top and layered it with a light blazer. I love how the blazer has this lace dainty detail. I paired it with a nude colored midi skirt. And of course, I used my fave sandals and sling bag.

I must admit. I looked more like a teacher rather than a tourist here. Heads up though, do not wear skirts with this kind of weather esp. in the month of  December- February on night time. I was freezing when we went out for dinner. Haha. If you're planning to wear one, be sure to wear tights underneath.

That is all for this post. I hope you enjoyed it. Definitely coming back to visit our new fam and this beautiful city. We still need to experience the 50's Diner, strawberry picking, and prolly have a picnic at the Camp John Hay.

Also, you can hype my look here.

Pitch-y

Top and Skirt: Bazaar, Belt: SM Dept.Store & Shoes: Primadonna

I have picked up my pace now and back to my usual whereabouts. The past few weeks have been very busy for our family since my eldest brother just got married. We actually just got back from Baguio this week. And now, I am so back on doing my backlogs.

And when I mean backlogs, I'm talking about major backlogs. This one was from December 2013. Wore this to work when my polo shirt wasn't ready yet.

I was actually going to name this Peach-y for the color scheme I used for the ensemble but just to make things interesting I've changed it to Pitch-y, a slang term used by music experts. Everyone who knows me would prolly laugh with me for using this term. You see, it actually would be the best description for my singing voice. LOL

Enough about that, let us now move on to the outfit. Don't you guys love my asymmetrical peplum skirt? I have this one for a while now. As in, it was sitting for 6 months in my closet and was finally able to use it just last month. I bought this one from Vern & Verniece's booth at BU5. The thing I love about it is the unique peplum detail. About the top, well I have been looking for a long sleeve top with this powerful shoulder detail and finally found one.

Also, was finally able to use this gorge coral peach jeweled necklace I bought from divi. I soo love how each jewel has these golden metal tassels. Then, my nude open toe flats came to the rescue, to save my feet for a long day at work.

That is all for this post. I'm making this one short because I don't have that much pictures to show every detail of the outfit. (I know. I should have known better.) I do hope you still enjoyed it though. PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO JOIN MY GIVEAWAY: HERE. You can join until January 22, 2014. The winner for my giveaway will be announced on the 25th of January. Ripe Lemons

Dress: Forever 21, Vest: Tiangge, Bag: Mango and Shoes: Vans

The world really have changed. Remember how I told you guys for my love for backless ensembles? Well, here's another evidence that I'm falling out of love. My lace dress was set for the 1st day of the year until our family reunion required a color code for each family.  We decided to go with the denim-yellow fusion. And here's what I was able to come up with.

I don't know if I've already shared it here but I went to a weekend out of town trip again to Mnl last November. And you know what happens next. If you answered cray cray shopping then you're sooo right. I was right on time again because when I visited Forever 21-megamall. They were on sale. And not just an ordinary sale but a "Buy One, Get One for Free" promo. Yes. The fashion Gods have granted me a favor. This dress was one of the things I've got for myself. Check out the cool cut-out on the front. Also got it because I don't have that much yellow in my wardrobe and since I started working I've been investing a few pieces for each color of the rainbow. (I'm not even kidding with this.)

Who wouldn't have heard of the quote "When life gives you lemons make lemonade." by Dale Carnegie. I have actually lived with this for a while now. It works every time, haven't failed me yet. Living in a complicated world where things does not always go your way, you should know by now how to make it work not only for yourself but also for the betterment of all. Before this post end up not as an outfit post, let me give dibs on what I wore to New Year's day.

As I've mentioned above, we went for the yellow-denim fusion. I knew I would have difficulties with this kind of cut-out (exposing my tummy) so I thought of something that would cover it up a little but still looks rock on. Then, I remembered I have this awesome denim vest. Felt like a rock star that I opted for a cool pair of sneakers instead of the usual ballet flats or pair of heels. Then, for the accessories I wore my acrylic bead set just to blend it in with the rest.

Also used my now fave bag that I got from Ate Monica, who is now officially Mrs. Jc Diocos. Yes. I've gained a sister over the weekend and loved every single moment (okay.except one thing. *wink) of the wedding which I will be blogging about next week, as soon as the pictures from the official photographer are done.

Before I end this post, I will be sharing a few pictures from the family reunion that we had  last January 1st.

It is always a fun-filled day whenever I spend time with my family. They always bring out the best in me no matter how hard the situation is, as to my case, ripe lemons. In dealing with them, you have no choice but to make lemonade out of it or else it will rotten that you won't be able to do a thing but to throw it away, that it becomes a waste.

That is all for this post. I hope you enjoyed it. DO NOT FORGET TO JOIN MY GIVEAWAY: HERE. You can join until January 22, 2014. The winner for my giveaway will be announced on the 25th of January. Be sure to join this one!

100th: Looking back at 2013 + Blog giveaway

Hi! I'm Genevieve Anne Ebio Diocos and this officially marks my hundredth blog post. *insert teary eyed happy face here

This feels awesome. I am very excited for another year of sharing to you guys anything under the sun. But before we skip to that let me share to you guys my Top 10 favorite looks from last year.

No. 10: Potterhead ϟ

Year 2013 wouldn't be complete without sporting the skater skirt trend. You can get them now in every color may it be pastel or neon. I suggest you keep one or two in a bright one. It will be useful this coming summer.

Another trend that boomed this year is the corset dresses. One of the inner wear is the new outer wear trend. I love how the print of it makes it unique from the rest. Paired it with my crochet vest making it look put together.

No.8 Checkmate

Who wouldn't forget this look of mine from Bloggers United 5? Well, if you have that's okay. Here it is again. This is included in my Top 10 since I've got a lot of beautiful memories on this day. Was reunited with my college friends and got to meet my fave bloggers, even the new ones. Looking forward to Bloggers United 7, missed the sixth installment. Huhuhu. Lovely (my BU buddy) is soo ready for June.

The only look who got in Top 10 in jeans. I just really love this top. It's in pink, in a floral print and with peplum cut. All my favorite things combined. Who wouldn't love that? Also, it's the debut of my cutesy wedges from CLN so it's pretty special.

See how I just love peplum tops? Here's another one in a romantic lace material in white. Matched it with gold for it to look classy for a very special day of my good friend Fianne. It was raining that day, a smart move to use a pretty high pair of wedges.

No. 5: Peek-a-Boo

One of my latest looks. What I wore to the karaoke party with my Diamond Fam. This is now my go-to bag for errands. Believe me, even my ginormous umbrelly fits right in. Plus, look at those adorable vans sneakers in a Hello Kitty print.
No. 4: All Pink

Pretty in pink peg for my lil bro's first ever modeling stint. Went crazy with prints since we went out of town for it. I take advantage when dressing up whenever I'm in a place where not all recognizes me. That's what I realized when I dressed down when I was in Hong Kong two summers ago. I looked like a tourist who brought her "pang-bahay" clothes. Hahahah

One of my fave ensembles I pulled off for work. I feel pretty cool wearing this one. What made me love it more is the magic that I was able to put this all together for just 10 minutes. Hashtag: Perks of Having Unused Clothes, Sitting in your Closet for Months.

No. 2: Ri-crochet

The debut of my crochet vest. Used it for a get together with the Ebio Family on a Mother's day. I planned this outfit not knowing when to use but definitely for a summer outing. I love how the color of the shorts is very calming to the eyes.

Despite the messy hair and all. This would still be my fave look of the year. It's pretty special since this was taken during my birthday. After a long day at work, I went to school to peek on how my lil bro's prom is going. And I was surprised by greetings from a lot of people that day.

But before I end this post, I am very happy and proud to share to you guys that my page views tripled from last year. And because of that I want to throw a giveaway! Yes. Just that simple. This post is pretty special since it's my 100th, (sorry guys for repeating it tons of times already. I can't get over) I will be giving away what I call a Blogger Guide Kit. I know I am not an expert but I have a kit of my own that helped me a lot this year. This Blogger Kit includes a Tricia Gosingtian Style Book, a Candy Guide Style: Global Street Style Edition, one floral headphones and one floral crown.

The Tricia Gosingtian Style Book is a compilation of must-haves in our closets and how to use them. Plus, you guys would get to know The Tricia Gosingtian, lookbook superstar, professional photog, and celebrity blogger. I must say, she's the very first blogger I've followed even before my idol Camille Co. This is a-must for bloggers to help and guide us for styling.

The Candy Guide Style: Global Street Style Edition is a compilation of some of the style bloggers all over the world. Yes. A very awesome bunch showcasing different trends and styles.

Ahhh. The very cute floral headphones, why are they included in my kit? Well, I have one from Anagon and I use it every time I blog. You see. Listening to music helps me to express more and sometimes get to have ideas for titles (Just don't forget to give proper credit) And since I appreciate everyone who visits my blog, I made them myself with love.

As for the floral crown, well, I find them so darn cute. This will be useful for garden themed ensembles and since you guys are pretty special to me, I also made them with love.

So that's what I will be giving away; A Blogger Guide Kit. One blog reader of mine will get it as a prize. As for the mechanics, just follow the simple steps below.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

That is all for this post. I hope you enjoyed it. Giveaway starts this 12 midnight and ends on January 22, 2014 also at midnight. The winner for my giveaway will be announced on the 25th of January. Be sure to join this one!
