White Beach

I know summer ended a month ago but I can't help myself to share to you guys what made my summer awesome despite the fact that all my weekends last May was more exhausting than my work days. A part of this awesome summer was a weekend getaway with my friends at Calaguas. One of the newest beach stop in Bicol and before you know it would be the next big thing for Philippines tourist destinations.

But before you reach the white sand beach and calm vibe from the ocean waves, we spent two hours in a van ride to Daet, Camarines Norte and the agency fetched us and gave us a ride to the port at Vinzons, Camarines Norte which is about twenty minutes from Daet and from there we took a boat ride for another two hours. If you're coming from Manila, you'll add six hours for the whole trip. But despite the long hours of travel, it will all be worth it when you reach the island.

And for you guys to get a picture of what white beach sand, clear water and calm vibe from the ocean waves  looks like, I'm leaving you guys literally with pictures during the whole trip. But first, let me share to you guys what I wore on our first day.

Top: Tiangge, Shorts: DIY, Cover up: Thrifted, Sun Hat: SM Dept. Store

I knew the sun would be really harsh since we left the port past 9am which we'll be arriving at the beach at almost 12 noon, so I opted for something breezy like this flowy top in white and a nice, comfy pair of denim shorts. I also grabbed a scarf, my boater hat and lace cover up for added protection from the sun besides sunblock.

At night, they had this acoustic night where local artists perform, there were also fire dancers and a dj played music all through the night, or until the lights off at least. The next morning, we had an early breakfast and trekking up into the mountains. Then before lunchtime we were now on our way back to the port.

And as promised, I now leave you guys with pictures from the trip.

That is all for this post. I hope you guys like it. Don't forget to hype my look here.

Wash Day

Another new school year has opened and so is another year that I passed up on going back to school. It's not that I really need to, I just have this feeling that I will want to go back to school. But since I'm still enjoying my spare time from work I'd like to share to you guys ootds that can be useful for school days especially on ordinary wash days.

For this post I've compiled three different looks. Classic or laid-back, experimental and rock star.

If you read my back to school post last year, you should have known that I am not a big fan of wearing uniforms, especially our college uniform. That's why in college I usually go to school not wearing one. As much I want to stick to the rules and be a goody good girl, I tried to wear school appropriate clothes so I won't be easily noticed by our professors.  And it did work, based on experience that I was able to graduate even when I seldom wore my uniform especially on my last three years I've spent at school.

I've chose three looks that I would actually wear at school that is both comfy, stylish and school-friendly.

Top: Forever 21, Jeans: Thrifted and Shoes: CLN

During lazy school days, no one will ever get wrong with shirt + jeans + flats combo. It was my favorite go-to back in my college days. But there would be days that I would like to look simple with an add-on confidence, I like trading my flats for a nice comfy pair of wedges or heels. Also, I want to keep my accessories simple by an arm candy and a nice statement necklace. I wasn't wearing a watch in the picture above but I must say every student needs to wear one.

Top: Frou Frou, Pants: SM GTW Betty, and Shoes: CLN

At times when I feel a little lost inside, stressed from school work, I take it all out by experimenting with my style for school. One example of this is mixing odd stuff like prints and stripes. It's a bonus if it totally works and not getting that weird stares.

Top: Local Dept.Store, Vest: Tiangge, Jeans: Penshoppe and Shoes: Vans

I don't usually go for the rockstar-ish look but what can I say, they're one of the comfiest and stylish clothes. This look is perfect for a rainy school day where the vest is not too warm for school unlike wearing jackets. But even with this look, you could still see the girly side of me. I can't help it. It's my signature style, pastel and feminine look this time with an added twist though.

For additional tips, I usually carry a small looking bag that you can fit a kitchen sink inside. Hahaha. What I mean you can carry lots of stuff with. It's to hassle to carry a small bag where there would be a 90% chance of leaving a thing or two behind that you really need for your schoolwork. Also,  invest on a comfy pair of shoes. It doesn't matter how much it costs or what brand name it is, as long as you've already proven and tested that it's comfy enough to last you for at least 8 hours and has a life span of at least 5 months. I must say for the ladies that you should also have this small pouch for your mini first aid kits like band aids and meds for pain relief and headache. It's nice that the school clinic is around but it's better to have your own.

That is all for this post. I hope you guys like it. Don't forget to hype my looks here, here and here.

May Babies

May is the month where we celebrate the birthday of our Lolo Max and Lola Tita. Aside from the celebration with the family, it is also the time for me to take summer vacation seriously since busy season at work is now over, for now. And as I start my summer a month late, I've noticed that I have also abused my dry season wardrobe. One of those ensembles is this subtle neon pair.

Top: Betty by SM GTW, Shorts: Local Dept.Store and Shoes: Girl's Haven

What made me more excited about this post, is that I'll finally be able to share to you guys the cutest pair of flats I have to date, my Sadie flats from Girl's Haven. I can use them, both for dressing up and down. It gave this chic vibe for the whole ensemble.

Since it was a family get together, I wore something simple but not sacrificing the chic style, of course. The fact that it has this neon details made it extraordinary plus I'm wearing this cutesy pointy shoes. As for accessories, it was a really hot, sunny day that's why I just used my watch for less hassle moments.

A closer look of the Sadie flats from Girl's Haven.
Check out their instagram account here for more chic pairs.

Le Mothers' Day

Countless times I have attempted to make a blog post for the past month, but only succeeded today. Hooray for the non-working holiday. I can't believe summer has come to an end. Like, I just got a taste of salt in the air and sand in my hair a few weeks ago and now it's already over. Sigh.

But before I dump you guys with my summer outfit posts and my recent trip from the City of Pines, I want to share with you first what I wore on every Mom's special day, le Mother's Day.

It was always a joy planning for this day, except this year. Since, my sisy Ara is on her 5th year as a physical therapy student, she's currently an intern, stationed in different P.T. Rehab centers around the country, so this year it was all on me. As the special day came by, I have all come down to prepare Mom a simple breakfast, decorated the house and also made a set of bouquets for my Mom, and all the persons I consider to be my mom also. We went out for a late lunch and snack after.

And now we have come to the point of sharing what I wore on this special day.

Top: Ripples by Jenny, Skirt & Belt: SM Dept Store, Shoes: Primadonna

Since it was cloudy on that day, I wore something with sleeves. Plus, my skirt is a bit short so I have to wear something to balance off the length. I've accessorized with silver by using my cutesy bow belt and glitter oxfords, something I discovered that was meant for each other. So, heads up. I'll be using this combo from now on.

Oh how I love wearing this skirt on. It has this youthful vibe that I can pair it with either pastels or dark colors, which I usually go with the first one since my closet is full of them. And the oh so painful glitter oxfords is painful no more. I'm finally done breaking it in after long months, maybe even for a year.

Now, I leave you guys with a few pictures taken on that special day.

Recently, I just posted something cheesy for my Dad. Now, it's turn for my Mom.

"Dear Mom,

Oh how life would've been very difficult and complicated without you. In behalf of my siblings, I thank you for being our strength when we were down on our knees, for being our number one fan when were on our own spotlight, for being our fairy godmother when we have wishes to be granted, for being our superhero when bad guys are present, and most of all for simply being our Mom and Dad.

People would say their Mom is the best mom, but to us you are the best of the best moms.

I love you Mommy!

xo, Bib"

I also want to share that let's make our parents feel special every single day not only on special dates.
That is all for this post. I hope you guys like it. Don't forget to hype my look here.

OOTD: Nins' Recognition Rites

Time flies soo fast, our youngest brother, Nins, has now graduated from high school and is now going to college. In five years time, we'll now have another engineer in the family. And a highlight of his years in high school is the recognition rites that happened 2 months ago the morning of the graduation. As this is a special day for my brother, I wore something extra special, too.

Dress (used as top): Local Dept. Store, Skirt: SM Dept. Store
Necklace: Forever 21, Shoes: CLN

Since it was a day event, I opted for colors white, blue and yellow for the scheme of my ensemble. I've combined two of my favorites; floral and lace. Oh how I loved this ensemble. I was also the photographer that day and this ensemble helped me move around, a lot.

The top I used is actually a dress. Something I got lucky, I got a hold of. If the store I bought it with has more colors of it, I would have got it in other colors. I've paired it with this lace skirt, accessorized it in yellow. Like, this belt, necklace and even my sandals. I looked oh so summer ready.

I soo love this ensemble, I have more than enough pictures I can't let go of. Hence, this triplet-almost-identical pictures above. Hahaha

I promise. This is the last of it. Hahaha. Also, I would like to thank my brother, Kuya Mikey, for taking my outfit pictures. If he's at home whenever I take my outfit pictures, I'll definitely ask him to take them for me again. That's how happy I am with the results of the pictures.

Now, I leave you guys with pictures after the event. Scroll away.

White Now

Times when you started a busy day with a wrong foot, all you want to do is walk on tip toes the rest of the day just to make sure you won't step on a crack to bring another set of bad vibes. When I was still at school, I remembered that making mistakes was okay. That it's actually part of the long learning process.

As I started working, I have slowly processed that we had years of preparation from school for us to be able to cope up with reality, where real things happen, where mistakes comes with consequences that might affect well, everyone.

Mistakes and consequences, two of my un-favorite things combined. I sort them out by looking my best. I admit that I have this bad habit of showing raw emotions that's why I tend to dress up a lot lately. Dressing up is one of my therapy. For me, looking good also makes you feel good.

Top: Thirfted, Skirt: SM GTW,
Belt: SM Kids Accessories and Shoes: Primadonna

And so, one day at work I decided to wear this. I am quite in love with the idea of pairing white with white nowadays. Paired them with a nude belt and cage flats and viola! I was off to work. Noticed I have also changed my hairstyle? I've decided to maintain a shorter hair so it would be easier to style. I could go straight with a flat iron or curly with a curling iron like this picture.

Neutrals

At times when we're not sure with things, we try to think out of the box, just so we could change things up. I have noticed that dress (used as top)+ skirt combo is becoming my staple wear, that's why I decided to go with something different. By doing the reverse.

See the picture above? Don't be fooled. It's not just an ordinary dress, I used it as the bottom for my ensemble. Yep. You read that right. I'm just having a hard time looking for something to pair my crop tops with. Then I remembered Tricia Gosingtian's post about layering a top over a dress. I realized, I never tried  doing it until I came up with this ensemble. It was a special day for my friends who graduated on that day at Ateneo De Naga University. One of my LMFs, Kae, graduated with her second degree and also a Cum Laude. *insert sabog ng confetti here* Congrats Kae! Also, my childhood friends Layka and Kitkat also graduated on that same day, so I've also went to a karaoke grad party that night. Congrats again girls!

Whenever I try new things, I tend to go for neutrals. The basics are always my life-saver. An example is this. I think I pulled this one off because my friends actually thought the top and bottom were separates. I mean, they're really are but they never thought that the bottom was actually a dress. A pat on the back for coming up with this one in less than 10 minutes. I was running late and grabbed my baroque crop top and this striped dress. I've secured it with a belt to prevent the top from moving. Then finished the look with the lace-like necklace in black and gold.

One of the things I noticed when I'm in dress is I could move around freely. Like, everything else is at ease. I still even managed to swing by my Auntie and Popsi's place for a visit. Anyway, I now leave you guys with pictures we were able to take on that day.
